嶼.岳 Lantau. Mountain virtual Race

岳·嶼 Virtual Race -  走到香港的南面,從觀音山下瞰石壁水塘,走到無敵景致的羗山,再登上芒草環繞的大東山,數之不盡的天然美景,這就是香港獨一無二的後花園——大嶼山。參賽者以越野跑的方式,飽覽大嶼山嘆為驚人的壯麗景色,同時,征服高低起伏的山巒,在群岳之中盡力奔跑、呼吸,用心重新感受大自然的美。

賽事為個人賽,分為25公里和32公里,總攀升高度約為1778和2157公尺。

 

Walking to the south tip of Hong Kong, from the Shek Pik Reservoir above the Kwun Yam Shan, to the uncommon Keung Shan yet owning an invincible view, and then to the Sunset Peak surrounded by miscanthus, there are countless natural sceneries. This is the unique back garden in Hong Kong, Lantau Island. Let us run, breathe, and re-experience the beauty of nature in the way of trail running among the mountains.

The course is divided into 25km and 32km categories with 1778m and 2157m of elevation and open to solo runners.

25公里健兒組路線:簡介

25km Senior Group - Routes

25公里賽事將會先由黃龍坑道起步,經過牛牯膊、二白坳、大輋峒,有小部分路程則會穿過野路及行人路。參賽者將會一嚐圍繞大嶼山環跑的無窮樂趣,沿途能飽覽南大嶼山、愉景灣等景色,此路線屬輕中量級,適合新手或有經驗的跑手。

參加者須衡量自己的體力和能力,另外跑手需要自行準備足夠食物乾糧、足夠飲品及基本急救包。

 

The course will start from Wong Lung Hang Road, then pass through Ngau Kwu Pok, Yi Pak Au, Tai Che Tung while some routes will also go across wild roads and pedestrian paths. Participants would explore around Lantau Island’s magnificent landscape and astronomus scenery. It is a light middleweight route, both beginners and experienced runners are welcomed.

Participants are advised to measure their own physical condition and ability before the race. Please bring enough food, snacks and drinks and basic first aid kits.

總攀升幅度:

全條路線總攀升約1778公尺,參加者可選擇一次性或分段完成賽事,一次性完成參加者限時10小時,而分段完成參加者每次限時6小時、共12小時。限時內完成的參加者,可獲限定嶼.岳越野圍巾一條。

 

The total elevation of the whole route is 1778m. Participants could choose to complete the race at one-time within 10 hours or in segments within a total of 12 hours, each segment for a maximum of 6 hours. An event trail scarf will be rewarded if one can complete the race within the required time limit.

32公里挑戰組

32km Categories Challenge group - Routes

賽事將會經過郊遊徑、林徑、家樂徑, 並圍繞大嶼山山麓古道,有小部分路程則會穿過野路及行人路。參賽者將會一嚐圍繞大嶼山環跑的無窮樂趣,伴隨著欣賞著壯麗的自然景色,一邊與自己競賽,突破每一次的極限。有關路線具一定攀升度及距離長度,適合希望挑戰自己的參加者。

參加者須衡量自己的體力和能力,另外跑手需要自行準備足夠食物乾糧、足夠飲品及基本急救包。

 

The course will mainly go through country, forest and family trails, plus trails around the , while some will lead to pedestrian paths and countryside roads. Participants would explore around Lantau Island’s magnificent landscape and astronomus scenery. 

Participants are advised to measure their own physical condition and ability before the race. Please bring enough food, snacks and drinks and basic first aid kits.

總攀升幅度:

 

全條路線總攀升約2157公尺,參加者可選擇一次性或分段完成賽事,一次性完成參加者限時15小時,而分段完成參加者每次限時9小時,總共18小時。限時內完成的參加者,可獲限定嶼.岳越野圍巾一條。

For 25km and 35km Categories: ​Application on or before 25 March can enjoy an Early-bird discount with HKD$400, while afterwards the application fee will be HKD$430. Once the application is proceeded, the application fee is non-refundable.

  • 報名時,先選擇賽事組別(25公里健兒組 或 32公里挑戰組),並填上個人資料。完成報名程序後,將收到確認電郵。

  • During application, please select either 25km Elite Group or 32km Challenge group and followed by filling your personal information. You will receive a confirmation email upon application. 

  • 請依照指示領取選手包。 

  • Please follow the above-mentioned procedures in regards to the collection of the Race Pack.

  • 於2021年3月20日至4月25日期間,帶同號碼布、合適及至愛的越野跑/行山裝備一次過完成指定路線。有關跑步紀錄必須透過GPS手錶或手機作記錄(完成後須把跑步連結上載),參加者必須在路線上4個指定位置,拍攝共4幅照片,照片內需要清晰顯示參加者號碼布編號及位置景觀。

  • Participants need to complete the whole course in one time during 20 March to 25 April 2021 with the number bib and suitable running outfit and equipment, there is no time limit for completion. Please note that the running record must be recorded through a GPS watch or mobile phone and uploaded to the system after completion. Participants are required to take in total of 4 photos in the four designated locations, the photos must  clearly show the number bib and surrounding scenery for  identification.

規則及注意事項

Rules and Special Notices:

  • 排名以經過時間(Elapsed Time)計算,移動時間(Running Time)不適用. Ranking will be based on “Elapsed time”. “Running Time” is not applicable.

  • 路線沿途不設補給站。建議參加者帶備不少於2000ml飲料及適量食物補充,或安排支援,是次活動准許其他人沿途進行支援。請帶備身份證、少量現金($200)、八達通及設本地通訊的手提電話。There are no supply stations along the route. Participants are recommended to bring no less than 2000ml of drinks and appropriate amount of food supplements, or to arrange support, as we allow third parties to support along the way. Please bring your ID card, a small amount of cash ($200), OCTOPUS and a mobile phone with local network.

  • 建議大家穿著越野跑鞋,使用手套及行山杖參加。請注意山勢險峻,務必注意安全。It is recommended to wear cross-country running shoes, gloves and bring a walking sticks in participating.

  • 進入白芒村時請儘量保持安靜,避免喧嘩或影響當地居民。Please keep quiet when entering the Pak Mong Village, do not make noise or trouble the tenants 

  • 所有參加者需要上載地標打咭照片至大會指定網址作為紀錄之用。For our results recording, all participants are required to upload the photographs at all the checkpoints to the designated website of the event.

  • 建議參加者沿著大會路線進行活動前,先了解路線資料,同時下載GPX檔案至手機或手錶。作導航用途。完成里數不得少於大會路線所定的里數。如發現不依照大會指定路線完成,大會有權不給予完賽禮品。Participants are recommended to study the route data and download GPX files to their mobile phones or watches before the event starts for navigational purposes. The number of miles completed shall not be less than the number determined by the organizer. If one was found his/ her route did not follow the organizer’s designated route.   • 參加者須依照指示路線一次完成或分段完成活動,並須在活動日期內完成及上載資料,參加者參與次數不限,惟只可上載紀錄一次。主辦單位理解不同手錶及手機所記錄的路線及距離有所差異,在核實成績將有一定程度的彈性處理。
    Participants need to finish the whole course on one occasion or by segments and upload the result before the deadline. The number of trials is unlimited, however participants can only upload the race record for one time. The Organizer understands the route and time recorded by different watches or mobiles will be different. In regards to verification of results, it will be handled with some degree of flexibility.

Safety 安全

The course is rocky, uneven and steep in places.  Take great care at all times and look out for your own and other hiker’s safety and well-being.  Ensure that you will have enough to eat and drink to reach your finish point.  Be particularly careful to drink enough and carry enough fluid.  It is vital for your safety that you maintain adequate levels of hydration. We highly recommend that you carry a water filter to access water in an emergency.

路線包含一些崎嶇不平、陡斜險要的路段。請大家任何時候均應格外小心,並為自己及其他徒步者的安全著想。大家應確保帶備到達自己定位立的終點之前所需的足夠食物和飲料,尤應注意多些喝水。吸收充足水分,對保障個人安全至為重要。我們強烈建議您攜帶濾水器在緊急情況下取水。

Mobile Phone Signal Coverage  電話訊號覆蓋情況   

Although there is mobile phone coverage over most of the course, there are some areas where coverage is either non-existent or intermittent.

大部分賽道均屬手提電話網絡覆蓋範圍,惟也有部分地區並無網絡覆蓋或存在接收訊號斷續情況。

On The Trail Reminders 進行户外運動提示

1. 時刻考慮其他山徑和道路使用者 Be considerate of other trail and road users at all times.

2. 過馬路或在道路上跑步,請格外留神 Take great care when crossing or running on roads.

3. 如果遇上其他山徑使用者受傷或遇險,請在自己能力範圍內提供協助 If another trail user is injured or in distress please assist.

4. 請確保帶備足夠的食物和飲料,並有足夠的保暖和防水衣服。強烈建議攜帶濾水器在緊急情況下使用 Ensure adequate food and drink at all times and adequate warm and waterproof clothing.  It is strongly advisable to bring along a water filter in case of emergency.

5.  請緊記「山野無痕」,不要亂扔垃圾、走捷徑、破壞動植物或利用代步交通工具完成路線 Please remember Leave No Trace. Littering, short cuts, damage to flora or fauna, or use of any transport other than your own 2 feet are all prohibited.

What are the technical steps that I need to take?上載軌跡紀錄步驟

  • Register online 網上登記 

  • Receive an edit code 收到編輯代碼 

  • Make sure your gps watch battery lasts sufficiently long for your session 請確保您的定位手錶有足夠的電源直至跑步結束為止 

  • Go to start of the route, take a photo and start tracking with your gps watch 前往起點拍照,並開始使用定位手錶進行追踪 

  • At various points along the route take another photo (all photos should include face and local landmark). Exact points to be notified in due course. 在特定路標處拍照 (所有照片需包括您的面部和當地地標)。路標位置將稍後公佈。

  • Arrive at finish, stop tracking with your watch and take a photo 到達終點,停止您的手錶追踪並拍照 

  • Upload your track to the gps watch manufacturer’s web site 將您的路線上載到定位手錶製造商的網站 

  • Go to the Results Entry page to enter your elapsed finish time and your edit code 前往成績上載頁面,輸入您的完成時間和編輯代碼 

  • Enter the link to your track and upload the photos 輸入您的路線連結及上載照片 

  • Check that your unranked result is displayed on the results page 在成績頁面上,檢查是否顯示您未排名的成績

Can I participate without a GPS watch? 可不用定位手錶

Although theoretically it is possible to track an activity using an app (such as Strava) on your smart phone, please keep in mind that it reduces the battery’s discharge rate significantly while running such app.  Therefore, you should not use a phone app to track your activity as it is unlikely that the battery will last for the entire duration of the activity (except where it is only for a few hours).

Liability and Insurance 責任和保險

Each participant is responsible for his / her own health and safety and also the GPS / tracking system. 

We highly recommend that you and your support crew have your own personal accident cover.

This is not an official competition or trial, it is an individual activity. Consequently, all participants participate under their own responsibility. Each participant acknowledges that he is responsible for himself and members of his support crew.  

Running / hiking requires good training and all registrants declare that they are healthy and fit enough to do so. By subscribing, you expressly agree that the activity is undertaken under your own responsibility. 

You expressly agree to release the organization from any and all liability in connection with your athletic activities and you also agree that in no event shall the organization be liable to you or any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of or in any way connected with Lantau. Mountain virtual Race.

Complaints 投訴

All complaints must be made in writing within 2 days of completion of the course.  Any decision is final and without appeal.

任何投訴必須在完成路程後2天內以書面形式提出。 任何決定均為最終決定,恕不接受上訴。

Force Majeure 不可抗力

Force majeure i.e. due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the organiser and which renders it impossible, unsafe or impractical to hold the event.  A force majeure event shall include, but is not limited to, act of God, war, hostilities, invasion, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, riot, protests, commotion, government, military or police action or instruction, strikes, go-slows, lock outs, blockage or disorder, blocked or inaccessible roads or trails, outbreak of disease, acts or threats of terrorism. In such event no refund of the registration fee will be provided.

不可抗力,即發生超出主辦單位所能控制的事件和令舉辦比賽成為不可能,不安全或不切實際的情況。 不可抗力事件包括但不限於天災、戰爭、敵對行為、侵略、叛亂、革命、起義、暴動、示威、騷亂、政府,軍事或警察的行動或指示、罷工、怠工、禁工、阻塞或動亂、堵塞或不能通過道路或山徑、疾病的爆發以及恐怖主義行為和威脅。
